In 2004, after years of successfully working to negotiate for our Connecticut physician partners the best in professional liability coverage at the lowest rates possible, we reached a critical point. Capitalizing on the careful credentialing and quality clinical experience of our organization, we decided to take control of our own destiny. Continuing our pioneering ways, we created our own captive insurance company based in Hamilton, Bermuda. We've won national attention for such a bold move. But most important: our partners can continue to practice in the women's health specialties in an era where that has become increasingly difficult for physicians not part of such a group.
